The Colposcopy Clinic for treatment of Abnormal Cervical Smears
Almost 70% of young women will become infected with the HPV virus when they become sexually active.
Only a very small number develop an abnormal cervical (PAP) smear as a result of this.
Your doctor will screen you regularly for changes in your smear and if present will refer you for colposcopy and treatment.
