Ovarian Cancer Screening

Did you know Ovarian Cancer is called the ‘Silent Killer’ because it causes symptoms late in the disease.

If detected early there is a 70% 5 year survival rate.
If detected late there is a 15% 5 year survival rate.

Early symptoms are:

  • Abdominal distension and pain
  • Feeling full at meals
  • Urinary frequency

The best way to screen for ovarian cancer is:

  • Pelvic Ultrasound
  • Blood Test - Ca125 and HE4
