Did you know Ovarian Cancer is called the ‘Silent Killer’ because it causes symptoms late in the disease.
If detected early there is a 70% 5 year survival rate.
If detected late there is a 15% 5 year survival rate.
Early symptoms are:
- Abdominal distension and pain
- Feeling full at meals
- Urinary frequency
The best way to screen for ovarian cancer is:
- Pelvic Ultrasound
- Blood Test - Ca125 and HE4
